WASHINGTON — A man who works for Fairfax County Public Schools was arrested and charged by an FBI task force with crossing state lines to arrange sex with a 9-year-old girl.
Wesley Breeden, 29, thought he was meeting a man with a 9-year-old daughter when he traveled to Washington, D.C. from Springfield, Virginia, NBC Washington reports. The man however, was an undercover police investigator.
Breeden arranged the meeting with the undercover investigator through the advertisement section of a website. He sent graphic text messages asking about sex acts he would be able to commit, according to court records.
He is charged with knowingly crossing state lines to engage in “illicit sexual conduct,” NBC Washington reports, and a Fairfax County Public Schools official tells the station Breeden will be suspended from his job.
