WASHINGTON — Fairfax County is hoping it can spread some love — and emergency preparedness — this Valentine’s Day.
The Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management shared emergency-related gift ideas just in time for Valentine’s Day. Also, February is a time of year when there can be more weather-related emergencies.
“There was a big snowstorm on Valentine’s Day last year, which caused a lot of problems for those last minute gift givers. While we aren’t expecting a major snowstorm this year, you still don’t want to wait until the last minute to get your Valentine a gift,” the department said in a news release.
Some gift ideas include a bouquet of flashlights, an emergency-plan card and a shelter-in-place gift basket complete with a plastic wineglass, first aid kit, blanket and other essentials.
