Cloud cover has thinned across the area, and that will allow temperatures to fall below freezing overnight across much of our region.
There is a good deal of moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere, which lead to the formation of fog. Morning clouds and fog on Thursday will give way to some sunshine in the afternoon with highs in the 40s. Skies will be partly sunny on Friday, with highs remaining in the 40s. Low pressure and a warm front will bring wet but mild weather into our region for the weekend, and the rain could become heavy at times on Sunday.
Showers will taper off on Monday, and it will remain mild.
THURSDAY MORNING: Partly to mostly cloudy with areas of fog. Temperatures ranging from the mid 20s to the mid 30s.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON: Becoming partly to mostly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 40s.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny. Highs mid to upper 40s.
SATURDAY: Cloudy with showers. Highs near 50.
SUNDAY: Rainy and mild. The rain could be heavy at times. Highs near 60.
MONDAY: Mild with showers tapering off in the afternoon. Highs near 60.
