WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Students from William & Mary Law School will be running a voter assistance hotline this Election Day.
The school says students will help local citizens in the Tidewater region with any questions they have Tuesday about voting. The number for the non-partisan voter assistance hotline is 757-221-2890. Phones will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Benjamin Daily, a second-year law student, said in a news release that they want to ensure everyone who’s registered can vote.
Officially known as VOTEline, the annual non-partisan service is provided by the William & Mary Election Law Society. It aims to prevent confusion at local election precincts. It’s now in its 10th year.
