WASHINGTON — D.C. voters are coming up on the deadline for the upcoming primary. Tuesday is the last day to send in a voter registration, and the District is implementing some new technology ahead of the primary to make checking voting status easier.
For those residents planning on registering in person, online or by mail, it’s the last day to hit send or have it postmarked for the D.C. primary on June 19.
Voters do not have to list a party affiliation to cast a vote on the Minimum Wage Act of 2017, which would gradually increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2020 — by 2026 for tipped workers — and require the wage keep pace with the Consumer Price Index.

Registered voters can digitally change their current registration information, change their name, party affiliation and address as well as locate their polling place with the Vote 4 DC app.
D.C. Board of Elections Director Michael Bennett recently announced the District also plans to use social media network Nextdoor to communicate with voters during this election season.
