Man arrested in fatal Northeast stabbing

WASHINGTON – A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman who was stabbed in Northeast D.C. Saturday.

D.C. police arrested 60-year-old Robert Wilson Dean Jr. on a charge of first degree murder while armed. Dean has no fixed address.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of 19th Street Northwest at around 5 p.m. and found Tamiya White, 38, of Northeast, suffering from a stab wound.

White was transported to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
