WASHINGTON — D.C. police responded to a report of a stabbing just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, in the 1300 block of Florida Ave, N.W.
The victim has been identified as Derrick Wright, 33, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The death has been classified as a homicide by authorities.
D.C. Fire and Emergency Services took Wright to a local hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed.
D.C. police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099, or send an anonymous tip by texting 50411.
