WASHINGTON — Two people are dead and one is injured after a fiery vehicle crash in Northeast D.C. early Saturday morning, officials said.
D.C. Fire and EMS said a car rolled over and caught on fire around 3:15 a.m. on New York Avenue NE near the Arboretum, blocking off traffic to a busy road. Officials said two people were ejected from the car, and both were dead when first responders arrived at the scene.
A third person suffered critical burns and was taken to the hospital, they said.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
