WASHINGTON – An arrest has been made after a man was fatally shot early Sunday in Northwest D.C., D.C. police said.
Dejuan Etheridge, 27, of Northeast, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Uyer Barnard Hooper, 55, of Northwest, whom police found wounded in the 6400 block of 7th Street.
Police said the shooting happened at around 3:30 a.m. Hooper was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said another man was shot, but his injuries weren’t life threatening.
Etheridge was charged with first-degree murder while armed.
