WASHINGTON — Police said a man was fatally shot Saturday in Washington, D.C.
Metropolitan police responded at around 11 p.m. and found 32-year-old Eric Anthony Jackson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
A police tweet and an emailed news release provided conflicting information on where the homicide occurred. A police spokesman told The Washington Post that Jackson was found near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Maple View Place Southeast.
Jackson, a D.C. resident, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
