WASHINGTON — Parking and traffic tickets happen to everyone, but a new restaurant will give you something in return.
The restaurant Caribbean Citations, in Shaw, will give you a discount on your meal if you show up with a citation, the Washington City Paper reports.
Owner Michael Sterling tells the City Paper that he wanted to open a restaurant people would come back to. ““I don’t care how good of a driver you are. You’re still going to get tickets in D.C. It’s something everyone can relate to.”
Bringing a ticket can get you anywhere from one to three dollars off selected menu items, such as curry goat or a jerk salmon sandwich. It also gets you into the monthly raffle, the winner of which gets a ticket up to $100 paid.
The restaurant is at 1336 9th Street in Northwest.
