WASHINGTON — Track work will affect riders on five Metrorail lines this weekend. Four stations will be closed.
Metro says the Potomac Avenue, Stadium-Armory, Minnesota Avenue and Deanwood stations will be closed for rail renewal and bridge rehabilitation.
Orange, Blue and Silver line trains will not run outbound from Eastern Market. Buses will replace Orange Line trains between Eastern Market and Cheverly. Blue and Silver line trains will not run between Eastern Market and Benning Road. Trains are scheduled to run every 15 minutes at stations the downtown and Virginia stations.
In addition, Red Line trains are scheduled to run every 20 minutes throughout the weekend. Trains will share one set of tracks past two separate work zones. The single-tracking is scheduled to take place between Friendship Heights and Van Ness and between Judiciary Square and Rhode Island Avenue.
Green Line trains are scheduled to operate every 15 minutes because of track work between the Naylor Road and Branch Avenue stations.
Yellow Line trains will operate at regular weekend intervals.
