WASHINGTON – The 95 Express Lanes operator says drivers stuck behind a multiple-car crash Tuesday morning near Springfield can seek a refund.
Several cars were involved in the crash around 6 a.m. thanks in part to slick and slushy roads. The crash and cleanup blocked the express lanes for about 5 to 10 minutes and drivers were forced to divert at the Franconia-Springfield exit.
Customers were only charged a toll to travel to the point where they exited the lanes.
Any customer who was impacted by the blockage and was not satisfied with their trip can call customer service to request a refund, Transurban says.
Drivers can find more information at www.expresslanes.com/contact.
Transurban operates both the 95 and the 495 Express Lanes. Solo drivers must pay a toll to use the express lanes.
