WASHINGTON — You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but one emerging sales holiday promises travelers some of the best deals on airfare.
Travel app Hopper researched flight pricing data and found that travel sales spiked on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, hence the name, “Travel Deal Tuesday.”
Hopper says on its website that it collects and analyzes 10 to 15 billion airfare price quotes every day and found that there are more deals on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
According to Hopper, airlines offer discounts during this time because travel demand is down.
“Most travelers have already booked their holiday airfare, but haven’t started planning their winter getaways yet,” says Hopper’s website.
