Alabama Senate Dec. 12 special election results
WASHINGTON — Voters in Alabama headed to the polls on Tuesday to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The special election has grabbed national attention and features Roy Moore, the former state Supreme Court chief justice, who has faced accusations of sexual misconduct with young women and teen girls when he was in his 30s. His opponent Democrat Doug Jones is best known for prosecuting two Ku Klux Klansmen who killed four black girls in a 1963 church bombing.
