WASHINGTON — The first Democratic presidential debate is at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 on CNN.
If watching it solo isn’t your thing, there are several debate watch parties planned around the region.
- The National Press Club’s watch party is $10 for Club members and $15 if you’re not a member. The club will be serving special drinks named for each candidate. For instance, “The Hillary” is a Brooklyn Lager brought to you by a remote server (ha ha).
- PredictIt’s free debate party will be held at Union Pub on Capitol Hill. It’s promising drink specials, bingo and “political sports” — in other words, drinking games.
- The DC Young Democrats will gather at Local 16 bar and restaurant in Northwest. It’s free.
- L2 and Campaigns & Elections are throwing a free watch party at Claudia’s Steakhouse in Northwest.
- The Maryland Democratic Party is hosting debate watch parties all over the state, including in Anne Arundel, Charles, Frederick, Howard and Prince George’s counties.
- Lee District Democrats are holding a watch party at Walker’s Grille in Alexandria. It’s free.
