Dow tumbles almost 600 points

WASHINGTON — Wall Street ended another volatile week with a Friday sell-off that sent the Dow Jones Industrials Average down 572 points, or 2.3 percent, by the closing bell, one of the Dow’s largest one-day point losses on record.

The markets faced renewed concern about a pending trade war with China, and reacted to a disappointing jobs report that showed a fewer-than-expected 103,000 jobs were created in March.
