WASHINGTON — For $2.5 million, you and a few hundred friends can have almost half of the JW Marriott hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue to yourself during the 2017 presidential inauguration.
Destination DC has partnered with several D.C. hotels to offer inauguration packages, but the “JW Marriott Presidential Ovation Package” may be the most extreme.
The four- or five-night “package” includes 325 guest rooms, four presidential suites with private terraces and a private rooftop party for watching the inaugural parade.
“The spacious terrace, offering breathtaking views of the nation’s capital, its famed monuments and memorials, plus the inaugural parade, will be transformed into a comfortable, chic lounge complete with soft seating, heat lamps and more,” the JW Marriott Washington, D.C. said. “The viewing party will also include a professional photographer and a full set of digital photos as a memento.”
The package also includes a $400,000 food and bar tab, and an exclusive craft bourbon tasting for the entire group.
The Ovation package requires check-in dates of Jan. 17 or 18 for four nights, or Jan. 16 or 17 for five nights.
By the way, that $2.5 million does not include taxes or gratuity.
