New restaurants, Nordstrom Rack at Prince George’s Co. development

WASHINGTON — Developers have begun work on phase two of Woodmore Town Centre in Glenarden, Maryland, that will include Prince George’s County’s first Nordstrom Rack.

The first phase of Woodmore Town Centre, co-owned by Petrie Richardson Ventures and Prudential Global Investment Management, opened in 2010. It is currently anchored by Wegmans, Costco, J.C. Penney, Best Buy and Petco.

Restaurants include Chipotle Mexican Grill, KBQ Barbeque, Irie Bar & Grill, Noodles & Co., Hook and Reel Cajun Seafood Restaurant and Honu Hawaiian BBQ.

Kobe Japanese Steak & Food and Wings 21 will open later this year. A Kumon Learning Center in the development is already open.

When Phase 2 opens in Spring 2017, Nordstrom Rack will occupy 30,000-square-feet.

Petrie Richardson said it will announce additional retailers and more new restaurants later this year.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified Prudential Global Investment Management as Prudential Real Estate Investors.
