Lori Lundin joined WTOP after hosting a national news program for America’s Radio News Network where she interviewed scores of newsmakers including Donald Rumsfeld, former President Jimmy Carter, Sara Jessica Parker, Amy Poehler and Ann Romney.
Prior to that, she spent four years anchoring morning drive for Fox News Radio, reaching over 900 stations nationwide.
Lori launched her radio career in California at stations in Chico and Monterey.
She credits her reporting skills to the years she spent in Sacramento with Heritage News Talk 1530, KFBK where she was arrested, investigated complaints about the city jail, jumped out of an airplane and nosed out the political antics of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Lori has received a number of journalism awards, including a regional Edward R. Murrow and National Headliner Award for hard news feature, as well as the Northern California Radio and Television News Directors Association Award for breaking news coverage.
She has traveled extensively through Central and South America and southeast Asia.
With a passion for animal welfare, she loves to hike and hang out with her two rescue dogs, Pearl and Ralph.
Lundin is a breast cancer survivor who hopes to help other women find meaning from a meaningless disease.
