Blood drive in Arlington Co. until 1 p.m.

WASHINGTON — Arlington County’s emergency responders are teaming up for the Public Safety Blood Drive to help reduce the blood shortages that usually happen in the summer and they want your help.

The police department, sheriff’s office, fire department and public safety communications and emergency management are partnering with Inova Blood Donor Services for the Monday’s blood drive.

It runs until 1 p.m. at the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office in the first floor call room at 1435 N. Courthouse Road.

Walk-ins are welcome but you need to bring a photo ID to donate. You should allow one hour for your donation.

You can find more information on Inova’s website.
