WASHINGTON — If you couldn’t get enough of April the giraffe last year, then you’ll want to watch Calaya the western lowland gorilla welcome her baby to the world.

The Smithsonian National Zoo shared raw video of baby Moke’s birth, the first of its kind at the zoo in almost a decade.

In the video keepers can be heard encouraging the new mother, who tenderly cradles and kisses her baby moments after his birth.
