Alexandria police investigating deadly assault at senior living center

WASHINGTON — Alexandria police said Friday they are investigating a deadly assault of an 82-year-old man at a senior living center.

Police said Hunter Alexander, of Alexandria, was assaulted Oct. 24 by a 72-year-old man at the Sunrise of Alexandria senior living center on Duke Street. Alexander was taken to a hospital and died two days later.

Police have not released the name of the 72-year-old man, and no charges have yet been filed.
