TUESDAY NIGHT/OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy with isolated showers to the north

A moisture-starved cold front sweeps through overnight, bringing scattered showers mainly along and west of the Allegheny front. Farther east, most spots stay dry, though a brief shower is possible near the Maryland/Pennsylvania border early in the night. Cooler air settles in behind the front with a blustery northwest breeze developing.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy
Highs: 45-50
Winds: Northwest 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph
Blustery northwest winds bring a cooler feel, with highs ranging from the 30s to low 50s depending on location. Most of the day looks dry, but it’ll feel sharply different from today’s warm pockets.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy
Highs: 38-44
Winds: Northwest 10-15mph with gusts to 25 mph
Cooler air holds, with highs mainly in the 30s to 40s, and 20s in the higher elevations. It stays brisk, and overall looks like a quieter weather day.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy
Highs: 40-45
Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph
Attention turns to a developing weather maker that could set the stage for a possible weekend storm, but confidence is still very low this far out. First Alert Weather continues to watch this closely as guidance continues to shift on track, cold air and timing.
