TUESDAY
Cloudy, a little sunny
Scattered thunderstorms
Highs: Around 80
Winds: South 5-10 mph
Our weather pattern remains unsettled with lots of clouds, higher humidity and rain chances. There will be lots of dry time today, but you’ll want to keep the First Alert Weather app on hand to track the radar.
TUESDAY NIGHT
Cloudy, isolated showers
Lows: 66-69
Winds: Southeast 5 mph
It will be another mild and muggy night with areas of patchy fog possible. Isolated showers are possible as well.
WEDNESDAY
Becoming mostly sunny
Highs: 85-90
Winds: West 5-10+ mph
The middle of the week will be the hottest, as highs near 90 degrees. There’s a chance for an early morning shower, as a cold front slides through, but then skies will clear and humidity levels will fall.
THURSDAY
Chance rain, storms
Highs: 75-80
Winds: Southwest 5-15+ mph
Humidity levels will rise Thursday, as our winds shift back out of the southwest. Scattered showers and storms are possible, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. The Storm Prediction Center has the DMV in the Level 2 of 5 risk category meaning a few storms could reach severe limits with damaging winds being the greatest threat.
FRIDAY & THE WEEKEND:
Cooler air settles in to round out the week with highs, on Friday, only in the 60s. It will also be a breezy to wind day with northwest winds gusting over 25 mph. Humidity levels will be noticeably lower to round out the week. The weekend will feature continued cooler-than-average temperatures with highs in the 60s on both days.
