Fiorina, Meyers spar over sites (Video)

WASHINGTON — Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina’s wasting no time on the campaign trail, including the late-night talk shows.

Fiorina announced Monday that she’ll compete for the 2016 GOP nomination, and on Tuesday she was on Seth Meyers’ show.

Meyers hinted at the irony behind the fact that, despite Fiorina’s tech background, she didn’t register the domain name carlyfiorina.org.

Someone else did. As Meyers points out, the site reads “Carly Fiorina failed to register this domain. So I’m using it to tell you how many people she laid off at Hewlett-Packard. It was this many.”

The rest of the page is filled with many rows of frowning emoticons — 30,000 of them — and a quote attributed to her that she “would have done them all faster.”

Fiorina replied in kind, though: She told Meyers that she bought sethmeyers.org — while she was waiting in the show’s green room. “So you better be really nice to me.” (Actually, it appears to redirect to Fiorina’s campaign site -— at least for now.)

“You got that kind of scratch?” Meyers asked.

“Uhhh huhhh,” Fiorina replied. “Actually it was really cheap, Seth; I hate to tell you.”

“That is heartbreaking,” Meyers laughed. ”Well, you know what — I’m going to start laying people off so you have something to put on it.”
