WASHINGTON — More than 263,000 iPhone cases sold worldwide have been recalled after about two dozen reports of skin irritation and chemical burns after contact with the product, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

MixBin Electronics announced Tuesday the recall of their liquid glitter iPhone cases, which are plastic cases that contain liquid and glitter, designed for iPhones 6, 6s and 7. The cases were sold through Amazon, Henri Bendel, Nordstrom Rack, Tory Burch, Victoria’s Secret and GetMixBin.com, the company said.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cases, according to the safety commission’s report.

The cases, if cracked, can leak liquid that may cause irritation, blisters or burns after contact with skin. At least 24 consumers around the world have reported skin irritation or chemical burns from the product. One person reported permanent scarring from a burn, while another reported swelling to her leg, face, neck, chest, upper body and hands, according to the report.

The cases were made in China and measure about 5.5 by 2.75 inches.

Consumers who have purchased any of the cases pictured above can get a refund through the MixBin Electronics website.

Anyone with questions can call MixBin Electronics at 855-215-4935 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or file a report with the Consumer Product Safety Commission on its website.
