WASHINGTON — If Loudoun County approves a rezoning request, Topgolf will get a fancy shooting range for a neighbor.
Caliber Club Shooting Sports Inc. has proposed a nearly 17,000-square-foot indoor shooting facility called the Caliber Club with three ranges and digital simulators for training as well as lounge and health club-like offerings.
The club would be located in the Commonwealth Center development in Loudoun County at Route 7 and the Loudoun County Parkway.
Topgolf and indoor sky diving venue iFly are among existing businesses at Commonwealth Center.
The members-only Caliber Club would also include party rooms, a billiards room, juice and smoothie bar, cigar bar and a cafe, all within what it calls a luxury setting.
Other amenities would include member lounges, private locker rooms, massage rooms and saunas.
It would also offer athletic training, including Jujitsu, Krav-Maga, Muay-Thai, boxing, mixed martial arts and self-defense.
“We know that we’ll have members who join for the athletic facilities or gun range alone, but our research shows there is a demand for the full lifestyle experience,” said Jeff Brown, the leading investor in Caliber Club.
“This is all about VIP treatment and great customer service,” Brown said.
The entire, two-store club would be close to 97,000 square feet.
If Caliber Club’s rezoning is granted, it hopes to break ground in early 2018 with an opening in early 2019.
