    Chris,

    Your criticism of President Obama's venue to vacation seems unwarranted given the GOP's choice of convention sites in America. When then RNC Chair Michael Steele had their convention in the middle of the Great Recession (btw, it was Hawaii), I cannot recall you being equally strident. If the President has a tin ear, the GOP is more so. Equal criticism for equal offenses should be a core value.

    All presidents take time off to regroup, and this "elite" location has deep roots in African-American history.
    To treat everyone fairly should be a Core Value.
