    Tax Reform
    Chris,

I rarely agree with you on your commentaries, but they do give me cause to think differently. However, this edition of Core Values is spot on. A flat percentage tax rate with another percentage sales tax would be great savings. Additionally, just think if it was administered correctly, the filing of individual tax returns could be eliminated...another great savings.

    Ugh, no
The reason we have a progressive income tax is because the burden of "flat" taxes falls disproportionately on the poor. The problem with sales taxes is the same.

And, sorry to say, even if you went this route, 15% isn't nearly high enough to pay for everything.
