Power returning to customers in Upper Marlboro

WASHINGTON — Tuesday’s frigid cold makes it a tough day to lose power, but that’s what happened to about 80 customers in the Upper Marlboro, Maryland, area.

PEPCO reported at about 7 a.m. that more than 80 customers were without electricity in that area because of a downed wire. Power was restored to almost all of them by 9.

Meantime, Prince George’s County School employees who work at the  Sasscer Administration Building are affected by the outage, and should report to work at 9 a.m.
