WASHINGTON — Donald Trump sold his New York penthouse in the Trump Park Avenue building for $21 million, The Wall Street Journal reports.
He was the only owner of the 6,200-square-foot unit that has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, but he never lived there.
Public records indicate the unit was listed for $35 million in 2013 and was last offered at about $25 million, according to the Journal.
His daughter, Ivanka Trump, said the sale wasn’t related to Trump’ presidential bid.
His real estate agent says he turned down an offer to rent the 24th floor unit for more than $80,000 a month, saying the market was strong and it was a good time to sell.
