Video: Passenger removed from plane for Ebola scare

WASHINGTON — At this point, the Ebola scare has gripped many in the U.S. Last weekend, a man was removed from an airplane in New Jersey after he exhibited Ebola-like symptoms. On Wednesday, Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan died in Texas after a weeks-long battle with the illness.

In this YouTube video, we see inside a flight from Philadelphia to Punta Cana, where passengers were told that someone on the plane may have been to Africa and had Ebola. Turns out that wasn’t true.

“She was certain it was a hoax but they did not take any chances and had a full HAZMAT crew board the plane and take the passenger off,” the passenger wrote in the YouTube caption. “It was later confirmed that the passenger was never in Africa and after 2hrs we were finally able to get off the plane.”
