Montgomery County Police have brought in a K9 dog and bomb squad vehicle to search a car in a Bethesda parking lot.
At about 7:45 p.m., police shut down parking Lot 43, a public county lot located along Woodmont Avenue. After searching the parking lot with the help of a K9 dog, police then shut down Woodmont Avenue between Cordell and St Elmo Avenues.
A bomb squad technician is on the scene.
Police on the scene said they are searching one particular vehicle in the lot, though they asked that all further questions be addressed to the department’s public information office.
