WASHINGTON – A Woodbridge woman was arrested on a charge of abducting her grandson Friday morning.
Prince William County police say Brenda Counts, 65, was allowed to take custody of her grandson, 8-year-old Caleb Brock, but that she didn’t return him when asked.
Caleb was reporting missing about dinner time Thursday. Police did not find the pair at Count’s house but received a tip that she was at home in the 3500 block of Buffalo Court.
Counts was arrested there early Friday morning on one count of abduction. And Caleb was returned to his guardian. The boy was never believed to be in any danger, police say.
