Police identify motorcyclist killed in collision

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) — Howard County Police have identified a motorcyclist who was killed when his vehicle crashed with a car in Ellicott City.

Police said Wednesday that 24-year-old Terrence Alan Robinson of Windsor Mill was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital after Tuesday morning’s accident.

Police say an officer saw Robinson speeding on Route 40. Authorities say the officer activated his emergency equipment and tried to stop the vehicle, but stopped following it to avoid a high-speed pursuit.

Police say Robinson drove through one red light, then a second at Rogers Avenue. Officers say the motorcycle was hit by a car making a legal left turn on a green arrow.

Officers say Robinson did not have a motorcycle operator’s license and his standard driver’s license was suspended.
