Tree branch hits car in Baltimore County, 1 dead

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Police say a man is dead after a tree branch broke off and struck the car he was driving in Baltimore County.

Baltimore County Police say it happened around 11 p.m. Friday in the 13100 block of Dulaney Valley Road. Police say that a large branch broke off of a tree, fell on some power lines and then struck a car being driven by 60-year-old James Walter Power of Forest Hill. Power was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Power’s 18-year-old passenger was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
