COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Gov. Martin O’Malley is urging students graduating from the University of Maryland to get to work against climate change.

O’Malley gave the commencement address at the state university system’s flagship campus in College Park on Thursday. He told students that climate change “is the transformation that transforms everything.”

The term-limited Democratic governor is in his last year in office and is considering a run for the White House in 2016.

O’Malley says the technology exists to battle climate change. He says it’s only the will to fight it that is lacking.
