Norfolk teen pleads guilty in parents’ slayings

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A Norfolk teenager accused of killing his parents has pleaded guilty to two second-degree murder counts.

Sixteen-year-old Vincent T. Parker is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 18.

Media outlets report that Parker entered his plea Wednesday. He had been scheduled to stand trial as an adult in Norfolk Circuit Court this week.

Parkers’ parents, 55-year-old Wayne Parker and 57-year-old Carol Parker, were stabbed in the family’s home on Dec. 19, 2013. Both died at a local hospital.
