WWBG: Downtown Crown Wine & Beer

My father bought Georgetown Square Wine & Beer in 1995.

Back then, we were a small shop that sold just as much cheese as wine or beer. Since, we have grown into a neighborhood fine wine and craft beer shop that ranks highly among stores in Montgomery County in terms of volume sold.

We accomplished this by serving our customers as best as possible with great selection and great customer service.

I’m happy to announce the opening of our second Montgomery County location — at 303 Copley Place in the new Downtown Crown shopping center and neighborhood in Gaithersburg. Based on the same principles of friendly customer service and selection, we hope to be another top store in a county with complex liquor laws.

We will be offering everything that is possible in a fine wine and craft beer shop. We will have a Pegas Growler Station with 12 beers for growler fill, or by the pint.

We will also have two Napa Technology Wine Stations that will hold 16 wines by the glass for patrons to enjoy.

This is all possible because of the two built-in bars inside the store. We will host weekly free wine tastings and beer tastings, inviting some of the top winemakers and brewers in the country to give tastings.

Our craft beer selection will be one of the best in the area, consisting of great breweries, American bombers, fine Belgium brews and a huge make-your-own 6-pack shelf.  Our wine selection is massive, with wines that will fit anyone’s price range.

We are really proud of the way Downtown Crown Wine & Beer turned out and it is all possible because of the great customers we have had throughout the years at Georgetown Square Wine & Beer.
