Woman tries to bring disguised stun gun on plane at BWI

WASHINGTON – Transportation Security Administration officials at Baltimore- Washington International Airport confiscated a stun gun disguised as a pink cellphone in a woman’s carry-on bag New Year’s Day.

A TSA agent with sharp eyes saw the stun gun on an X-ray machine at a security checkpoint and stopped the woman, who was from Adams County, Pa.

Two keys on the fake phone’s keypad were marked “light” and “stun.”

Maryland Transportation Authority Police confiscated the weapon and cited the woman on state weapons charges. She was then allowed to continue on to her final destination.

TSA officials remind passengers that weapons are not allowed on aircraft in carry-on luggage.
