A Pure Barre fitness studio will be the first new tenant in the Shoppes of Bethesda (4930 Hampden Lane).
The shopping center on Elm Street has gone through a wave of turnover in the past few months. The Pure Barre is taking over the spot of the Bundles of Cookies shop.
The studio uses ballet barres, or stationary handrails, for 50-minute workouts using small isometric movements set to music.
There are more than 150 Pure Barre locations nationally. A hiring ad on Craigslist says it will open this fall. The studio held training sessions for staff last week.
For the hundreds of thousands of migrants on the move across Europe, the pace of a day is dictated by forces almost entirely beyond their control.
