Police: Officer the shooter in Md. murder-suicide

UPDATE 12:13 p.m. 10/27/2013:

WASHINGTON – The police have identified the three people who died in what the police are calling a murder-suicide in Glen Burnie early Sunday.

The shooter, police say, was Christopher Robinson, of Abingdon, an officer in the Baltimore Police Department. The other dead man was Andrew Hoffman, 27, of Glen Burnie, a member of the Baltimore City Fire Department. The woman was identified as Marie Hartman, 26, of Glen Burnie.

The police say all three knew each other and that the incident appears to be domestic in nature.

WASHINGTON – Police found three people dead in Glen Burnie, Md., early Sunday morning, and they’re calling it a murder-suicide.

The Anne Arundel County police went to a home in the 1100 block of Armistead Road for a report of a shooting at about 1:30 Sunday morning. When they got there, they found two men and one woman dead.

The police say their preliminary investigation indicates that one of the dead men was the shooter. The police say there is no continuing danger to the community, that there was a relationship between one of the men and the woman and are treating the case as a murder-suicide.
