Investigators with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service say someone set a small fire under a SUV in a Bethesda garage on Friday.
Firefighters were dispatched at about 11:12 a.m. to the Del Ray Avenue side of the Auburn-Del Ray Garage (4907 Del Ray Ave.) for the report of a vehicle fire.
According to MCFRS spokesperson Beth Anne Nesselt, a passerby put out the small fire. The incident happened on the ground floor of the garage.
Evidence of the fire could be seen under the large SUV. There was no noticeable damage to the car and no one was injured.
Nesselt said damage to the SUV was minor. Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set. It remains under investigation.
