Frustrations over Obamacare mount amid cancellation letters

WASHINGTON – Despite assurances from President Barack Obama that if you like your health insurance you’d be able to keep it, NBC News says millions of Americans are getting — or are about to get — cancellation letters.

Experts tell NBC they predict as much as 75 percent of the consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to get a “cancellation” letter over the next year because their policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law.

NBC News reports the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

What do you think of what’s happening with health insurance plans? Should people have a choice to keep their current insurance? Or do you think the new plan will help more people be better off over the long haul? You can join the conversation on our Facebook page or tweet your thoughts using #WTOP.
