Md. school janitor accused of having sexual relationship with teen

WASHINGTON – An Md. high school janitor is facing charges after being accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student.

Steven Ray Pole, 36, works at DuVal High school in Lanham, Md. The victim is a student there, a news release says.

The victim told her mother Poe had sexual contact with her both off and on school grounds between April and June, the release says. The victim’s mother then called police.

Officers arrested Poe at his home in Lanham on Sunday, June 9. Poe faces charges of third degree sex offense and second degree assault. He is being held on a $20,000 bond.
