Police Arrest 76 Drunk Drivers Over St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Police make a traffic stop in Bethesda this weekendMontgomery County Police officers arrested 76 people for driving under the influence or while impaired by alcohol or drugs during the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

The arrests were made from 6 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Monday, part of the county’s increased effort to catch drunk drivers celebrating the holiday.

Police put extra patrols in areas with bars to target impaired drivers and established sobriety checkpoints throughout the county.
