WASHINGTON – Disappointed by this week’s snow fall? Make up for dashed hopes of an extra snow day with some under-the-radar concerts that are sure to make your weekend.

One of Friday night’s top concerts features the District’s own Shark Week. The band will play at the Rock & Roll Hotel on H Street.

Led by Ryan Mitchell, the band is known for its retro rock style and high-energy performances.

The band continues to produce excellent songs with a vintage vibe — its yet-to-be-released song, “Baby Maybe,” even quotes “I’m Not Like Everybody Else” by the Kinks.

Check out the video for “Baby Maybe” below.

Megan Mullally and Stephanie Hunt are known for their acting careers, but this Friday they’ll show off their musical talents at the Birchmere with their band, Nancy and Beth.

This Saturday, alt-country songwriter Todd Snider’s “Traveling ‘What the Folk’ Show” comes to the Birchmere in Alexandria, Va.

Snider’s live performances are incredibly funny, poignant and criminally overlooked by the mainstream. Luckily, Snider has a loyal following that keeps him touring the country.

Canadian pop-rockers Rah Rah are scheduled to perform Sunday at IOTA Club and Cafe in Arlington, Va.
