WASHINGTON – Italy’s Mount Etna had a spectacular eruption Tuesday night, shooting out lava and hot ash.
The Telegraph reports “there are several inhabited villages on the slopes of Mount Etna.”
Tuesday’s eruption has not interrupted any air traffic in the area, though eruptions in the past have caused Italian airlines to alter their routes, the Telegraph reports.
