Stay young with these anti-aging drinks

WASHINGTON – They don’t call it the fountain of youth for nothing.

Eleven drinks — ranging from soy milk to beet juice to alcohol — can help delay aging of your body and mind, according to research compiled by the blog Eating Well.

Anti-aging drinks and what each does:

  1. Pink grapefruit juice helps promote smoother skin.
  2. Alcohol may ward off dementia.
  3. Cocoa leads to a healthy heart.
  4. Beet juice helps beat Alzheimer’s disease.
  5. Green tea reduces inflammation.
  6. Soymilk helps firm skin and reduce wrinkles.
  7. Milk builds muscle mass.
  8. Carrot juice assists memory.
  9. Coffee prevents skin cancer.
  10. Water makes your breath smell better.
  11. Orange juice wards off eye problems.
